We have constructed a new, low cost and sustainable Al-based carbon supercapacitor with improved properties over traditional aqueous supercapacitors. The voltage floating test of such constructed supercapacitor coin cell, measured over 100 h up to 1.5 V, shows an excellent capacity stability.
